    A question about Ryder

Inititally 6 months with Vettori, I think that has since been revised...but I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to give Jeetan Patel some more experience at the Champions Trophy to allow Vettori to rest for the home season.

    A question about Ryder

He could be ok, i think there is more concern with Bond & Oram right now.

    A question about Ryder

There is doubt that Bond will even make the Champions Trophy. Oram likewise.

    A question about Ryder

Right now I wouldn't mind seeing this team have a go...perhaps if we replace the West Indies next month in South-east Asia. Vincent Ryder Astle Fleming Fulton Styris McCullum Vettori Franklin Mills Gillespie Subs: Jeetan Patel, H.Marshall, Ross Taylor, Andre Adams, Jamie How. Bond & Oram...

Who will win the Champions' Trophy?

If Bond is fit, I reckon our chances are good.

Group C - New Zealand, England, Kenya, Canada

I think England have the potential to get their act together quite quickly in ODI's, but whether this will be before or after the World Cup nobody knows. It will be tough though for England against New Zealand in the West Indies as I feel NZ have a squad ideally suited to the conditions they...

Wright stirring it up in his book - honest view or just trying to jack up sales?

good point, but he couldn't really make these comments while he was under contract with the BCCI. I suppose he wanted to allow some water to flow under the bridge..and what's a book without controversy lol!

Group C - New Zealand, England, Kenya, Canada

NZ and England are going to see a fair bit of each other in the VB Series, I guess we'll find out then who's ahead of one another.

Group B - Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka

If South Africa show up with the same side they have in Sri Lanka, minus Gibbs and Boje even, then I can't see them going through at the expense of New Zealand or Pakistan.

Wright stirring it up in his book - honest view or just trying to jack up sales?

He's only making light of what has been known for ages in India, regional and political bias. It's a disgrace by the BCCI to refute his claims when they know fully well the real picture.

    A question about Ryder

How and Papps not even in the top 10 or 12 in the country? you're kidding me right?

    A question about Ryder

James is right, Ryder's OD record is pretty average yet it seems when he steps up to NZ 'A' or Academy level, he scores runs. He bats around #4 for Wellington in the 4 dayers, but I wouldn't rule him out as a FC opener either. As far as NZ'landers in the County matches go. I think Hamish...

    *Official* English Domestic Season 2006

McCullum, Franklin, Vincent, Marshall and Fleming have all been doing well for their respective counties but Astle has been a bit of a concern, he seems to have struggled so far with Lancashire.

    ***Official*** Top End Series

http://content-nz.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/246731.html NZ beat Pak by 50 runs. So NZ convincingly won the OD section of the series. Congrats boys.

John Wright eyes NZ coaching role

NZ aren't bad in tests, they'll still be a challenge for anyone. We looked like we were making progress for awhile but recently its gone back to us playing out a few draws. Bracewell has an excellent ODI record, but like at Glouc's, he has struggled to capture the imagation in the longer form...

John Wright eyes NZ coaching role

There is potential there for Bracewell to continue with the ODI side and for John Wright to pick up with the test side. There are alot of complications with this, but I wouldn't rule it out entirely.

Yes his appointment did strike me as being from a little leftfield.

    New Zealand Domestic Season 2006/07

Interesting to see a number of foreign coaches coming in to New Zealand. Wellington announced former Australian one day player Anthony Stuart as their new coach on a 3 year deal. Northern Districts have earlier signed England U19 coach Andy Moles and of course Canterbury signed South African...

    ***Official*** Top End Series

NZ probably did enough to win the OD section of the series. If they beat Pakistan on Thurs, then that will probably confirm it.
