He is an artist after all
Yeah, I love Bret's work and think he has a sense of humor like dry pemmican, but there's a completely justified view that as a pro-wrestler he was a bore even back in his prime. He's just the most miserable old man imaginable now though given to making outrageous statements despite all the false starts at mending fences over the years.

I’d wager that steroid abuse is a far bigger issue in pro wrestling than CTE

The number of high profile wrestlers who died suddenly at young age and/or were completely dysfunctional outside the ring seems to be higher than those suffering gradual decline

Last Monster Standing ( ) was fun. Great feud, a real carny attraction, but has run its course you'd think. Don't think I've seen someone as massive as Strowman do a flying body press off the top rope outside the ring before.

Yeah it's been one of the most entertaining aspects of RAW for a while now, but you'd think there isn't much mileage left to be squeezed out of it now.

The important thing now is that BR isn't jobbed out to Rollins' when he returns (or whatever other big name they are going to pair him with next).

From a Reddit thread title:

Meltzer says the AEW/WBD deal will begin in January 2025 and is worth $555m over three years ($185m per year). There is an option for a 4th year. AEW will be very profitable with the new deal even before they get a TV deal for Shockwave.

So, how about that Bad Blood HIAC match?
It was great.

However, if, as has been suggested by various people, Drew was busted open "the hard way" via being hit in the head with the toolbox, that was really ****ing dumb.

Also they totally got me with the Dom falling out of the shark cage spot. For 1-2 seconds I really thought the **** had fallen accidentally (without the rope around his leg) and we were about to have an Owen Hart type situation. Well played, WWE.

WWE's response to the cinderblock from the Swerve-Hangman grossfest? Both equally stupid though surprised that noted locker-room father figure CM Punk agreed to it, especially since it looked like Drew had already bladed before the first toolbox blow.

I thought the wrestling community couldnt get any lower, but I was wrong after the Swerve/Hangman match. The fake outrage made me more ill than the actual match itself. I just wonder how many of those people who were so outraged are the ones you see on ecw/gcw/czw videos saying "This is wrestling. **** John Cena". I am calling hypocrisy big time

Nah, I think it's entirely possible to be turned off/grossed out by all of that stuff tbh.

Doubtless there will be some people out there just desperate to get outraged (the Internet is full of people with both AEW diehards and people who for some strange unexplainable reason have a pathological hatred for AEW, it seems to me), but I was one of the people who found the Hangman/Swerve match to be extremely "ew", and I largely find GCW and CZW pretty distasteful for similar reasons.
