Before this season had even started they wanted Smith he's viewed as 'generational talent' their all format keeper they want to replace Buttler. They let him go play the T20 league instead of going with the Lions to India and gave Robinson/Rew a go instead.
Robinson had been averaging in the 90s at a SR of 85 prior to Worcs last week in the Championship.
Stokes saw him smash it to all parts as Durham tried to chase down a big 300 score in the 4th innings and he was stranded on 177*.
He did everything he could to get in the side but private school Surrey lads are always going to be first in ECB land.

Get all the prestige around Lords. But I'd rather we not guarantee Lords and Oval a test each summer.
Just the ECB and their love of £ as their bigger grounds and London automatically sticks all the prices up . We play worse at both grounds than we do elsewhere and the atmosphere is never as good.
Lords crowd is always a bit more contained. A Wednesday start with the Euro Semi Finals tonight will have taken any more of the amped up crowd from probably attending.
West Indies not being the draw they once were a factor and defs been a bit of a arrogance from England media talking far too much about Australia and not enough about the teams we play this summer. Defs fed it's way in to the fanbase I think, viewing these games as ones we'll win if weather doesn't intervene.
Anyway good for Atkinson to get 2 poles for no runs on debut.
