So do you believe Gavaskar is better than Viv or no?It's not such a situation, Viv and Gavaskar have virtually identical averages.... If anything, Sunny has more centuries

Yes. I do. I believe they're all around equal. So do you believe Gavaskar is better than Viv or no?
NoYes. I do. I believe they're all around equal.
because of his batting ability too.No
Viv > Gavaskar imo because of his SR
Nearly samebecause of his batting ability too.
SR gets equalises by the fact that Gavaskar needed to bat long as an opener.Nearly same
SR is the intimidating factor
Will disagree.SR gets equalises by the fact that Gavaskar needed to bat long as an opener.
I think that has more to do with the fact that Sehwag was one of the best batsman in Asia, Cook wasn't. Not to mention, I don't Sehwag could had batted the way he did if not for Dravid, Sachin, Sourav and Laxman had been in the team. To sum it up, an opener could bat like Sehwag imo mostly if they have a very strong batting line-up and a capable no 3, who could play the new ball well. Will disagree.
Sehwag and Cook were nearly same as opener.
I have seen multiple bowlers/ Captains say they were afraid of Sehwag. Don’t think anyone was afraid of Cook .
I would advise them that Bradman was already selected so they could adjust their vote. If they fail to do so as they don't have 3 valid nominations I would disqualify that vote. In round 2 of this voting I unfortunately had to declare a vote invalid for having a previously elected player included (and not replaced after notification).@Line and Length, how are you currently treating random votes as well as votes where someone is already selected? Say for eg Bradman is already gone but in the next round someone votes-

Bradman

Vast difference in the attacks' quality though. Its honestly incomparable. Also, the situations. Plus I believe Lara was sawn off at least thrice by the umps that series.Oh it was 2005 .
Well talking about 2004 Aus tour ,Tendulkar did exactly the same thing . Didn’t score in first 3 Tests and boosted his average by scoring 241* in 4th Test .
Well he did the same in 1997 and 2000 also . 1 big Century and lots of 10s-20s.Vast difference in the attacks' quality though. Its honestly incomparable. Also, the situations. Plus I believe Lara was sawn off at least thrice by the umps that series.
thats because Cook had the personality of a betaWill disagree.

Same thing for 97 and 2000 though. Cant compare them with the 2003 pop gun attack of Aus.Well he did the same in 1997 and 2000 also . 1 big Century and lots of 10s-20s.
Lara in 3 tours of Aus in 97,00 and 05 had 3 big century and 1 50 only .
WI might have benefited more if Lara had scored more 75-90 knock and less big century.
Are you really justifying Lara’s 32 average in 1997 and 2000 tour ?Same thing for 97 and 2000 though. Cant compare them with the 2003 pop gun attack of Aus.
No, I am saying you cant compare any of his 97, 2000 or 2005 tours to 2003 tour of Sachin. And 3 of the 6 decisions were not debatable, come on...Are you really justifying Lara’s 32 average in 1997 and 2000 tour ?
Tendulkar averaged 46 in 99 with a far worse Team against the same attack and also won MoS because 3 out of 6 decisions were highly debatable.
Ok , I met a hardcore Lara fanNo, I am saying you cant compare any of his 97, 2000 or 2005 tours to 2003 tour of Sachin. And 3 of the 6 decisions were not debatable, come on...
If he made the runs anyway, who gives a ****? You don't get extra points for scaring people - to any extent it's a good tactic it's reflected on the actual scorecard.Bowlers weren't scared when bowling to Gavaskar.
