Fun fact also looking at that lol

Younis in the Windies 5 innings 279 runs @ 69.75 vs Walsh and Ambrose (averaged 20 and 19 that series)
Jayawardene 7 innings 294 runs @ 42.00 vs. Collymore, Edwards and Taylor lol

Why is Yousuf rated so low? He and Chanderpaul have very poor reputations on this board among batsmen with 50+ average.

I’d still rather have a batsman who can succeed both in and outside of Asia, rather than someone like Mahela, who is only a threat in Asia.
Mahela is pretty poorly regarded too for someone who scored a mountain of runs at his average.

Not sure who I think is better.

Mahela and Yousuf are quite equals, isn't it? Also, I think Sehwag and Warner have the opener credits plus strike rate credits. Else, they are of similar category too.

I put Sehwag a level above despite his scoring rate, not because of it.

Warner took HTBing a bit too seriously for this company for me, despite opener tax.

Mahela was significantly better than Yousuf in Asia though. I'd probably still take Yousuf but think it's debatable when he wasn't very good in India&Sri Lanka while Mahela was a colossus in Asia.
