That is indeed who he and Crowe learned their commentary style from. When Sky had Cricket Max in the mid-90's Crowe hired Hughes to commentate. Crowe and later Morrison started copying him. It was really noticeable at the time.

Congratulation Nz for Memoriable win
Devon Man Of the Match. Second Successive match babar was stumped. I am worried of our batsman who recently Lacks Techniques to play against Spin,nz spin trio Could ruin indian party at Indore & Thiruvandanapuram for sure.

KW should also Honour the way he operate his 3 spinner. After long time all Overseas spinner shines this way.

It's a shame, Crowe was a brilliant commentator when he wasn't trying to play to an imaginary audience. I remember when he came out of retirement to do some radio commentary for the 1st NZ v India test in 2014, and he was absolutely brilliant, really heightened the drama in what was already a dramatic game.

That'd be stupid IMHO. We already made this mistake in Test cricket after Conway started brilliantly on the 2021 Tour to England as an opener & Young batting well in the 2nd Test of that series at 4 (when Taylor was injured). Then we switched it around in the English series last yeah and Young failed at the top and Conway didn't do very well further down the order.

Now you want to do the same in ODIs after Conway has enjoyed success opening? If it ain't broke...........as the saying goes.

I'm not convinced about Mitchell at 4, and probably keen to see Latham promoted to 4 in ODIs, and perhaps the likes of Young & Chapman can be competition with Mitchell for the number 5 spot, with your mate Phillips at 6, Maces at 7 & Santa at 8 which is a strong deep line up for mine.

Not sure why you'd want to ticker with something that's working.

Mitchell, Philips, Mace, Santa and Jamieson. That's 5 solid all-rounders from 5-9. Waiting to see that line-up.

If that means beating Pakistan *in* Pakistan, probably true. I think there were 2 ODI series and 1 test series in the early 2000s which Pakistan clean swept, apart from that no tours.

happy to see us bounce back and the spin bois step up. good ****.

odi wc is in india so it would be sensible during our home season to always play 2 spinners. it isn't the min max strategy for the jamodis but it is the long term goal strategy of getting games into our spinners.

My other creative balloon I wanted to float for comment is Darryl Mitchell to bowl the 48th and 50th overs and never any other overs.
For ND Knights he used to bowl the 20th over of their T20s and exclusively only that over. He is good at yorkers and variations.

The advantage of him picking up those overs is that it frees up our front line seamers to bowl more overs in the middle.
