There's an article about Ish Sodhi where he talks about things "clicking" for him after his forgettable first innings bowling effort in the first test. Basically realised he was trying to bowl the same as Ajax and Bracewell i.e. "disciplined line and length" or something to that effect

I mean, it sounds like the coaching staff and captain don't have a plan and just let the bowlers figure it out. Wouldn't you say before the test "hey these two finger spinners will be doing this, maybe you should be ripping it and attack as a point of difference?". I've often wondered if, under Stead, the team has been a that of individuals with their own game without much cohesive guidance overall as to how they should be executing plans together.
Interesting interview. It seems he knew that was the reason he had been picked in the first place but made the realisation he needed to be more aggressive himself. I suppose the bowling coach could also be expected to suggest that.

Then I woke up on day two and realised the reason why I’m here isn't because I can bowl like Jazzy or I can bowl like Braces, I'm here to be an aggressive option and I've been picked on the back of some strong white-ball performances and those performances have come through bowling slightly quicker and also bowling a lot of variations.
