Can we not make this thread needlessly spicy please?
different commentators bring different things to the tableShri
She’s an airhead who owes her position due to her gender
There’s lots of decent female commentators
She’s not one of them
boobs?different commentators bring different things to the table
Disappointed he did not call it "elite success" tbh."great success in One-Day, Test and T20 cricket"
I dont think she is even a commentator per se, is she? More a cricket journalist who does some shows and interviews... I mean I dont think she is particularly insightful or enriches any coverage but she is pretty harmless really. At least she is not trying to make a quick buck with hot takes. She usually seems to look at stuff from a more of a common person perspective and that is the least of the issues with cricket analysts or journalists right now.different commentators bring different things to the table
good analysis, charisma and everything else in between
if sanjay manjrekar can have a job, she can too
yeah i guess you could say that i meant people who talk about the game in general instead of the word commentatorI dont think she is even a commentator per se, is she? Yep, all the stories we're hearing and reading now seem totally in character.Questions need to be asked as to why he was hired in the first place. Surely they knew what he was like, from memory we all did.
total FRAUD
The Test cricket claim is pretty remarkable one. Last summer's India defeat imo Australia's poorest home series defeat since England 86/87, especially the deciding Gabba Test.
"great success in One-Day, Test and T20 cricket"
That's one thing quite apparent about Langer, which is that he is far too sensitive to criticism. As head coach you're going to get a lot of crap thrown at you, justifiable or not. Such responses simply aren't suitable. It goes hand in hand with him being overemotional in general.I remember Dean Jones writing a decade ago when Langer was Oz batting coach how when he wrote an article critical of Australia's batting, on the morning of the Test match when Jones was on the ground doing media work Langer confronted him about the article in an abrasive manner.
I don't think that's anyone. It's just an excuse to start talking about it again.alright whatever you think about langer though, people who didn't think he should be sacked before now thinking so on the back of mickey mouse t20 series are pagliacci grandi, for sure. for spikey and co who wanted him sacked prior, yeah, fair play, but thinking that t20is matter says more about those that want langer sacked after them than it does about him
no you don't, in fact the rest of the message (saying that you've wanted him sacked the entire time) falls within the purview of what ive said is acceptableI've always wanted him sacked, so whatever. Disagree with what you say, I think the opposition has been building for some time and accelerated after the India series, the T20 series has just given an outlet.
I'm disagreeing with this bit:no you don't, in fact the rest of the message (saying that you've wanted him sacked the entire time) falls within the purview of what ive said is acceptable

intl t20 is such a joke and anyone who thinks it should factor in on how we evaluate coaches, equally, is also a joke imoI'm disagreeing with this bit:
Add my vote to this side of the opinion. I have no problem with T20Is being a thing, because revenue, but you hang your hat on ODIs and Tests as an international coach (unless we get to the point, which we should, of dedicated T20I/franchise coaches).intl t20 is such a joke and anyone who thinks it should factor in on how we evaluate coaches, equally, is also a joke imo
