Dominant win by the Astronauts. 186 felt like enough, but as expected the spinners didn't click and our seam attack wasn't potent enough to get the breakthroughs either. Skipper Peach with a brilliant captain's knock of 55*. We really should have scored more runs, but Chung and Law fell cheaply and Agnes is not exactly a quick run scorer. Classic example of a better assembled team outdoing a higher rated one. Congrats @Marcuss! FHK's difficult season continues. We'll be hunting for revenge tomorrow!
Prediction Result: Wrong, but I did say an upset was possible.
In brighter news, Schmaltzberg are bowled out for 150. Our spinners ended up with 6 wickets in seamer friendly conditions - the seamers built up the pressure, and when it came time for the release the Dynamos just didn't execute well enough. Good win, the team is shaping up nicely.
Prediction Result: Correct
Moooo and ataraXIa both pick up comfortable wins in a very similar manner. Visiting sides choose to field first, home side get a decent score on the board and then take a bunch of early wickets to all but seal the game. Good effort by both chasing teams in the end, but it was always going to be tough to win after the terrible starts they had.
Prediction Results: Both Correct.
A spirited chase from TMO comes to an end. They fall short of GG CC's massive 270 by just 34 runs. They had 17 balls left as well, which suggests that if someone had stuck around a bit longer they might have pulled it of. Of course taking those 1st innings catches would have helped too.
Prediction Result: Correct
And last but not least - Morpork topple Jura CC! A real professional all-rounder performance sees the senior Dynamos team remain the only unbeaten side in the CWC so far. Excellent effort, great game.
Prediction Results: Correct

This weeks results leads to a lot of competition towards the mid-lower end of the table. Only 3 points separates 6th place from 10th! ataraXIa have broken into the top half of the table, and are now comfortably placed in 5th place. ZCC in 4th are closing the gap in on FHK, who have remained 3rd despite today's defeat. Dynamo Morpork the only unbeaten team left.
Innings of the Round goes to Stuart Garner of ZCC. Am I biased? Definitely. But also he hit the only century of the round, coming in 41/3 to take us to a match-winning 219. Excellent knock. Honorable mentions to Lachlan Peach (AA) and Alonso Kock (TMO)
Spell of the Round goes to Martijn Van Heerdens of DM, who used the dry home track to good effect to dismiss 4 to JCC's top 6. His regular wickets were key to keeping them down to a chasable score. Honorable mentioned to Fred Clarke from the same innings, and Gulsan Giridhar (Moooo).

whoops, seems I took a screenshot before the TMO/GG CC game got updated. Fixed now.@cnerd123 update the table please. GG CC are not that low.
Actually it's the ZCC least-experienced XI, which is how Shahbaz Furqan ended up in the XI instead of Grubs. The ZCC Dev XI going well in a 50 over friendly vs TMO. Should chase this down easily.
13.1 | . | Martijn Van Heerdens to Shahbaz Furqan | 66.9 kph | Bronkhorst doesn't seem confident in this new spell and we can see why, Van Heerdens doesn't look on his game today. Pitches on off stump. big drive by Furqan. A leading edge bounces safe and runs into the infield. Fouche benefits from some confusion, no run taken. |
This over will be by Martijn Van Heerdens, Frans Bronkhorst has set the field with a single fielder in close, a ring of 5 infielders, leaving 3 in the deep. |
13.4 | 6 | Martijn Van Heerdens to Shahbaz Furqan | 77.9 kph | SIX! Bowled in a good area, Furqan looking to clear the rope. He's really got hold of that, into the stands, SIX. 50 up. The crowds applauding, but Furqan is already back taking his guard. He means business here. (52 runs from 35 balls at SR=148.6) |
