Looks like our top order have decided to just not show up in today's Dev League game. Both openers out cheaply to soft dismissals, skipper Ahsan run out for 1, and then Halliday bowled for a 3-ball duck. Huge pressure now on Garner and Grubs to take us past 100, give the bowlers something to work with.

AtaraXIa getting wrecked by Astronauts again here! The cadets from Ashgrove making their presence felt in CW this past week.

FHK had an ego-boosting Bot Bash last night in the Dev, while ZCC lost a hard-fought game away from home by just 2 wickets. Garner was brilliant with the bat again, taking us from 30 odd/4 to 150ish, something we could defend and indeed came close to doing. Shame he's got low potentials, I'd have liked to keep him around once he ages out.

Going to play a full 50 over friendly against the BD Nat team manager today, my colleague. Should be fun.

Kudos to @Marcuss, beaten comphrensively by 5 wickets. My batting lineup was in disarray in both fixtures.

Highlights:

• Fab go-slow partnership between #6 and #7, Nicky Clift (65* off 111) and Kurt Murdoch (32 off 85). Without it I likely wouldn't have got to 100.
• Fantastic performance from the Astronaut Jugal Polavarapu, his high score, 60* (64), and also 1-24 (10) for good measure.
• Incredible start to Frans Potgieter's career for the club with 2 wickets before he conceded a run. 3-46 (9).

GG were looking at a 300 score. They finished on 271 all out off their 40 overs. Bram Human with 10 sixes in 132 off 77 ball. His brother Cornelius with an even 50 off 51 balls. They added 136 off 92 for the 2nd wicket. Shakir made 4 off 20.

And though all the carnage Gulshan Giridhar stood up strong picking up 6 wickets (3 of them in the last over). He finished with figures of 8-0-42-6
