I had to, he is a slow developer and at 3 keeping causes to many losses. I still play him In just about all my other non-friendly games as I come up against Bots a lot.

In brighter news, my first match against a 25K+ team this season is happening, the first of four in a week. I have a 6K rating advantage, and the opposition are 71/8. It is a minefield of a pitch, but I'm feeling pretty confident at winning easily.

I think our latest pull wins the award of worst YP ever. Total batting potential of 15, bowling of 20. Total potential of 55 across the 9 skills. 11 of that is in fielding - so he's crap, but he can be crap for a long time.

I'm gonna keep him around and play him exclusively in bots or in friendly matches. Get him to the age of 30, retire him, and make him our next groundsman.

In other news - another win for ZCC in the T20, and another (incoming) loss for FHK. Our opponents have just outbowled us on their home pitch. I brought in Joshua for Lester due to the conditions, but he didn't do much better. Rest of the attack was alright, next time I'll bowl them their full quota.
In reply to the steep target, we lost 3 wickets inside the first 4 overs and that was essentially the game. Kovrig with a nice fifty but lacking support.
Ah well. Let's home a home OD game on Friday will be the change in our fortunes.

They're off for exactly a week, so I suppose if you are very lucky you can beat the server delay, but... nah.

SOD vs WCC at a classically seam-friendly Basin Reserve: managed to out-rate @JOJOXI by a K and a bit, look like I'm going to pip them. 209-7 was a sufficient total I feel from my team. An excellent 104-run 5th-wicket partnership from Shawn Dee (43 off 95) and Nicky Clift (69 off 77). Liam Evans is going well for Winton on 40* (72).

I'm not sure actually. I've noticed my players who are training in a certain skill will pop in that skill even though I had the coach away on training, and I've noticed bowlers increase in pace as well, so my hunch is that it works that way. But I don't really know for certain.

Wrapped up a comfortable win in my 100th friendly. Won 49, lost 51. :) My first win in six SOD encounters vs WCC. No one really supported Evans, with Jasper Davey doing a grand effort of 3-29 and Juan Goliath shredding the lower order with 4-34. Maybe I can find a win away from home in a senior match against Winton after all. Great game.

13 pops in today's coaching, most to players with low skill to potential. Kurt Murdoch gets another pop to push him up to 31 bat, and new signing Frans Potgieter immediately gets a pop to get him to 29 bowl.

First day in a long time that the TMOs have not had a game of some sort... the players are very much grateful for the break!

14 skill increase (no decrease). First home grown players to pass 30 skill at the club. Kock for batting, and Burger for bowling. Importantly with much anticipation Mthombeni is up to 4 wk skill! Yay!

Went and picked up a decent keeper in Tigwell, but does no work in youth teams. I should never have gotten rid of Hanekom in hindsight. But at least he is doing well and getting game time in dev 1.

Moo's senior team is better than GG's.

Playing a 50 over friendly atm, and we (Moooo) have them at 124/5 in the 24th over...pesky Bram Human is still in the middle though....so expect fireworks from him in the back end if he stays until then.
