Bumrah out!

IMO Siraj, Sharma, Yadav, Ashwin, Axar - unless it's like the last Test, in which case swap out a fast bowler for a batsman.

Daily reminder that no one needs three spinners.

Daily reminder no one needs 3 Fast bowlers on turners without a shadow of a doubt.

In fact, even having 2 Fast bowlers in the line up is over the top, as we saw in the last two tests. They have been totally redundant.

But if pitch is little flatter, two pacers would be sufficient. So I would go with-

Rohit
Gill
Pujara
Kohli
Rahane
Agarwal
Pant
Ashwin
Axar
Umesh
Siraj/ Ishant

Why do we even need fast bowler ? Kohli can do little bit bowling.

Replace Umesh and Siraj with Hardik and Sundar.

England should play Bess over Archer next Test. If this series has shown us anything so far it is that you need 2 spinners.

I think India should retain Sundar and just replace Bumrah for any one of Siraj/Umesh/Shami. Make Rahane captain because he is #unbeaten

This is just wrong. Our 2 lead spinners are bowling exceedingly well so you can say this. If one of them isn't bowling well you would definitely need the cushion of an additional spin bowler.

This is like saying no one needs 3 fast bowlers in peak Ambrose-Walsh games (there are games when those 2 cleaned up entire innings without needing a 3rd bowler).

Really surprised Liam Livingstone never seems to be in contention for the test team. Good FC record, and has had plenty of opportunities in Asia with the Lions over the last few years - and by accounts accumlatised well. Think he scored a double hundred in SL.

Yup the 4th test is going to be played on a really flat deck.

They are looking to balance out the relatively bad pitch (bowling friendly) with a relatively good pitch (batting friendly one), that way there won't be any negative rating against the square. Plus there's pressure from broadcasters to make the game last full 5 days. Plus India doesn't need to definitely win this game to wrap up the series as well as place in final.

So all factors plus insider info is directly pointing towards a batting beauty coming up. Hopefully this pitch will remain really flat for 3-4 days and not 1-2 days so that the team winning the toss doesn't have too big an advantage!

There is no insider info. This was just me spreading the rumour of flat pitch.
