I could totally see a flat pitch resulting in a repeat of the first Test. Panauti loses the toss, England pile on 500, then Bess flukes his way into another 5-fer. Pant smashes Leach for the lulz in a losing cause.

Mind you, the Lords Test in 2018 only lasted 170 overs. Yet there was no uproar about that pitch nor did anyone say 'this is not test cricket' or that the match lasting 2 days has 'undermined the 5-day game'!
