But that was the plan to get him out. It's an entirely legitimate plan to have and, quite bluntly, it worked as advertised.

I would much prefer if they at least tried to hit the stumps a bit more often. But that's a sporting critique, but a "Pat Cummins is deliberately trying to injure the batsmen rather than get them out" critique.
What is the plan with bowling bouncers to nattu when you can bowl at the stump and get him out? Guy didn't even own a bat till yesterday allegedly.

Wow if this is what Spark calls a wicket taking strategy he needs his head examined for leaking because it's garbage and against Sun Tzu.

It's like if I say I want kids and i go about it by having *** with farm animals.

Because you can get a batsman out with bouncers, especially lower order batsmen. It screws up their footwork and they often don't get in line with the ball, meaning that ordinary short of the length balls that would easily be defended get nicked to the slips.

This has been standard SOP to the tail for like six or seven years. It's not something that they just invented to injure the Indian tail.

No, it was a "Pat Cummins' strategy is to either get Saini caught behind, bowled, lbw, or injured" critique. Again, read better. The only part about not getting caught was at short leg.

Lebensraum was an SOP for some time but that didn't make it smart or correct to do.
