Cummins bowled five, count them, five bouncers to Saini. Three of them came relatively close to getting him out caught in the slips cordon. Based on this you claimed that Cummins sole intent -- not part of the plan, but his only intent -- was to injure the batsman.

This makes 0 sense, bluntly.
I am saying he didn't care if he injured Saini.

And I didn't claim it was his sole intent. Read better.

Excellent knock that. Will be a shame if it's his only at Test level which it might well be (at least for a while).

Great fielding from Green too, we've got a star at gully.

Cam Green has shown what he's made up of which is very exciting. Think all-rounders take more time to find their feet at test level and I think they have workload concerns regarding his bowling ATM.

But that was the plan to get him out. It's an entirely legitimate plan to have and, quite bluntly, it worked as advertised.

I would much prefer if they at least tried to hit the stumps a bit more often. But that's a sporting critique, but a "Pat Cummins is deliberately trying to injure the batsmen rather than get them out" critique.
