Uh we did a Pakistan there...no excuses for that collapse apart from Rahane's injury

Dhoni should take the blame for that bad dismissal and for selecting Gurkeerat ahead of Manish Pandey.
No you didn't. Pakistan would have been 80 for 4 or something and would have probably ended around 250

Why doesn't Ashwin play? India have to make up their mind if he's good enough or not and stick with him.. does anyone seriously think there' s a better spin option? Ashwin has the potential to be a better ODI batsman than Jadeja too.

Seems like a series where India could/should have won each game but failed in the moments where T20 skills are most applicable. Our current Big Bash helped our players to be ready but you would think with the IPL and all India would have more capable players than just the 4 gun bats. Poor coaching/selection.

It's a shame that Rishi Dhawan is selected for this tour ahead of Stuart Binny. I'm not a Binny fan, but there mustn't be any doubt that he's the best no. 7 option. He's a much better no. 7 batsman than Jadeja. And in England (for 2019 World Cup) he will be a better bowler than Jadeja too.

Its just funny because you would think with the IPL the Indian players will get very good T20 exposure but it is actually not the case. The franchises just want to fit in the best XI to help them win and that means most times, the marquee foreign players play as the hitters and death overs bowlers, two skills where our team are constantly exposed. Add to that, the BCCI does not allow any of them to play in any of the other T20 leagues which means none of these guys get to test themselves in different conditions other than home and it is no big surprise that we just suck in these formats away from home.

personally that's the only reason I like him tbh

and he may be a drunk hooligan but he hasn't caused anyone's death through negligence yet, as far as I'm aware

I dont think that is the issue as much as the BCCI Holding them back from participating in other T20 leagues. I think the latter is the bigger problem. If we didn't have this issue, then folks like Ashwin and Jadeja and Raina would play a lot more overseas T20 cricket and will adjust faster to such wickets. The main reason Australia competed so much the last time they were in India for ODIs is the amount of cricket their guys had already played in India through the IPL. They got going much faster and they were able to work out how to bat and bowl on these tracks from previous experience. IT certainly helps when you get to do it season after season.
