Isn't it simply the case of Madrid being quite a different type of clay to Roland Garros, and the fact that if he plays there and Rome, it'll mean 4 weeks of tennis in 5 weeks by the time the Paris final comes around? He doesn't particularly need the ranking points like everyone else does.

#nkrising was very disappointing against Gasquet.

Fed played an odd final vs Cuevas but got the job done.

Bouchard's decline continues, which is pretty funny.

Svitolina (3 titles at a younger age) such a better prospect but gets no press for some reason. Well Slam performances is partly a reason, but still it's disproportionate.

Murray's first clay court final (albeit in a thin field) postponed until Monday because of rain.
How about Rosol bumping into Murray and Murray reminding him that no one on the tour likes him, everyone hates him

One of the all time great sprays on a tennis court.

Looking at this it seems Bouchard has never really performed in any non grand slam tournament of note bar once. Remember reading someone saying she got really lucky draws in the GSs last year and lost as soon as she played someone decent, and that she's not actually that good.

Think it's a bit harsh to totally dismiss her G-S form, she's beaten some decent players, and you can only beat who is put in front of you. but yeah they've not been hard draws. She seems to have one gameplan, which is to take the ball early, particularly on ROS, and now the other players have got that, they're countering it.

She seems a bit lost ATM, if she wasn't so obnoxious I'd probably feel sorry for her, but she's still relatively young, so she could still turn it around.

Even with that choke forehand at 30-30, Muzz plays a gun tiebreak to win it. Good stuff. First ever clay title.

I haven't heard that she is an obnoxious person, why is that? Is it because she is a justin bieber fan?

Jesus Christ, Azarenka comes back from the dead, and then serves for the match vs. Serena. Has 40-30 on serve with match point and throws in 3 double faults to get broken.

Hmmm, the way Rafa has played all tournament he wouldn't have taken a set off Novak. Obviously still good enough to beat the Dimis and Berdman's, but Novak is anther whole challenge.

I reckon Nishi can beat him too.
