English Domestic Season 2011

Just a thought, but the England ODI side selection could have a big bearing on the Championship.

If Warwickshire could potentially lose Woakes, but may get Bell back.

Worst case scenario is both being in the squad but sat on the sidelines.
Durham losing 3 of their best XI for their next game due to the Ireland ODI. Although Durham have only themselves to blame for not being in a better position anyway, along with teams repeatedly conspiring to lose against a relatively ****e Lancashire side. If Lancashire win it'll be more that they deserved a title somewhere along the line rather than this one particularly.

Not sure why we keep having to reduce his stats to show how he has been doing in division 2 of the county championship as if that is a higher standard of cricket than Lions games.

Who said anything about reducing his stats mate, just wondered where he got that figure from , like I said I know he hasn't had the best season for Leic.

He actually averages about 58 or something for Leicestershire this year, but that includes non cc games like the SL A tour game where he score an unbeaten ton

Yorks 32 runs short in the end, can only blame the bowling I guess. Rudolph is a godsend.

That last hour's a pretty brilliant example of batting for the win and taking wickets for the draw.

Yes, for once it was a great effort from the batsmen to run Sussex close and Rudolph played brilliantly in the 2nd dig. The bowlers by the sounds if things, except Siddy, bowled turd and have in general been really disappointing this year.
Any team that allows Yardy to get back to back tons, need lining up and bitch slapping.

Can't argue with that - it's amazing what a difference not getting shafted by the weather makes - still there's time yet
Also think playing at Liverpool has helped. One of our big problems in recent years has been the inability to finish a game. Far too many draws.

Fantastic win, not had this sort of result in an awful long time. Still likely to go down but have given ourselves a chance now, must win next week.

Even if we do go down this result shows the real talent we have coming through. Vince not shown it much this year but he is such a talent and sounds like a brilliant innings today, Wood and Bates very encouraging and then Briggs of course who was injured for this match. Want us to work arond these lads rather than bringing anyone else in regardless of what happnes for the rest of the season, there is stilll plenty of experience with Dimi, Carberry and Adams, hope Mckenzie does one more year as well.

More rumours that Warwickshire are going to sign Gary Keedy, rumour is we only want to offer him a 1 year contract because we are worried about losing Kerrigan. Would be sad to see him go but Kerrigan is hopefully going to be some player in the years to come.

Can Warwickshire not bring their own players through then?

Sounds like they are after James Taylor too.

To be fair the likes of Bell and Woakes are their own, and you could make a case for Trott as well (seeing as he's played pretty much all his cricket here)
