Championship race is certainly hotting up.

If Lancs and Warks were to win from the positions they are in now, with Somerset getting a draw the table would be

Lancs (13) - 198, Warks (12) - 189, Durham (13) - 185, Somerset (13) - 177

and the games left would be

Lancs - Worcs(a), Hants(h), Somerset(a)
Warks - Yorks(a), Yorks (h), Notts(h), Hants(a)
Durham - Notts(a), Sussex(a), Worcs(h)
Somerset - Hants(h), Yorks(a), Lancs (h)

Looks like I am going to be forced into hoping Yorkshire do well over the next few weeks (spit). Hopefully Notts can put in a strong finish to the season as well. If Hampshire could get anything out of the current game as well that would be ace

Might have to consider it actually, have tonnes of leave left but its our y/e 31 Aug so might still have a lot to do for that. If we are a decent chance going in to the last game it will be mighty tempting though

Is that first class average for Taylor include Lions matches as well because just for Leic, not including the ongoing match he's averaged 31, with no tons and 4 fifties, he's had a rather poor season for his county this year, gunned it for the Lions and in CB40 though.

Just a thought, but the England ODI side selection could have a big bearing on the Championship.

If Warwickshire could potentially lose Woakes, but may get Bell back.

Worst case scenario is both being in the squad but sat on the sidelines.

Not sure why we keep having to reduce his stats to show how he has been doing in division 2 of the county championship as if that is a higher standard of cricket than Lions games.

James Vince single-handedly swinging the title Lancs' way now it seems. Looks like a pretty epic knock.

Good to see Vince hit a good score, has always to be looked a likely one for England honours even though his stats would say different. Technique is pretty superb, very Vaughan like.
