Think it was in that last game that he got his first one. Those commentators lied to me. Distinctly remember them talking about it during his last test in Napes.
lol.........yeah Misbah has been a reasonably good captain so far.Well done Misbah, well done Waqar.
Bastards.
It might have been gutless and I agree but I don't blame Misbah. We still won the series if not this match. Had we lost this one trying to win it people would have come out blaming him for not winning the series.absoloute ***** stuff these tactics will not take us anywhere as a team gutless from Misbah and co.
Fusion, I agree with you 100% here.I know it wasn't pretty, but I'm pleased with the series win. Four years is a long time to wait for it! It's a young, extremely inexperienced team being led by a new Captain. I don't see any reason to fault them. They consistently built sustained bowling pressure throughout the sessions, that too without their front-line bowlers. The batsmen didn't build on their starts, but they showed resolve and didn't have the customary collapse. All in all, I'm satisfied with the result. It's a good foundation to build from.
I'm surprised by this reaction. What did you expect from this team? Coming in to the series, did you even have them as favorites? I certainly didn't. This is a team missing its star players, very inexperienced, and led by a new Captain. I would say this result is nothing to be angry about. Let them gain some confidence first, and then we'll think about grander achievements.happy at the series but the tactics in the last were mind boggling can't see this team going forward with this mentallity.
they had already drawn two tests batting out the final day vs Steyn and Morkal this was an easier challenge a win here would have done wonders to the confidence of young guys like Asad Shafique and Azhar Ali.I'm surprised by this reaction. So they drew against South Africa, and win 1-0 against NZ. That's progress. Baby steps my man. This is not the Pakistan of old. It will take some time to get that "fire" back.they had already drawn two tests batting out the final day vs Steyn and Morkal this was an easier challenge a win here would have done wonders to the confidence of young guys like Asad Shafique and Azhar Ali.
You want them to revert back to collapses?I know what Waqar and Misbah are doing is effective atm but this is not Pakistan's play.
200% they should have gone for it...drawing by 50 odd runs with 5 wickets in hand means clear cut calculation mistake imo...they had already drawn two tests batting out the final day vs Steyn and Morkal this was an easier challenge a win here would have done wonders to the confidence of young guys like Asad Shafique and Azhar Ali.
