The Tiger King
Umar Akmal is very talented, probably more so than Azhar Ali only that his brain is going the Afridi way.

I fully agree, I think Umar is exceptionally talented, but that talent will only take him so far, and has perhaps taken him as far as talent alone can. There is so much more development that has to take place inside Umar's head in order for him to take his game to the next level and become a regular Pakistan performer in all formats.

Let's not be too harsh to judge as Umar is still only 20 years old, but does need to demonstrate that he can learn from mistakes he makes. I think there are few more talented young batsmen around, but if Umar doesn't apply himself as well as a number of the young guys around, he won't reach their levels of performance.

Pakistani youngsters are all very talented, but none have shown so far that they would have a successful Test career.

International Debutant
Azhar Ali is showing signs of being a permanent name in the Test Team till now. He's not been spectacular, but there seems to be enough about him to suggest that he can be a succesful test player.

The trouble seems to be the fact that there are doubts about our two most talented batsman adjusting to only one form of the game - Azhar for tests, and Umar for ODIs.

But like i've said in my previous posts,it is only a matter of time before Azhar gets a shot at the ODI side.

part of the blame should go to Yusuf and Younis they have been so involved in their own mess that they have not been able to take any of the youngsters under their wings, looks how the likes of Hughes and Stve Smith have struggled recently the reason being Ponting's and the Clarke's are themselves so short of confidence that the negative vibes have traveled down to the younger members.
