He has been a pretty good bowler for the redbacks in the one day format.Jake Haberfield??
Yeah me to. I'd have Copeland over Cutting because I think Copeland is better and I reckon some people overate Cutting, he should deafinately be there though, as should Copeland and I don't know about Starc. You never know if players are injured around this time either.I'm surprised Cutting isn't in either of the A squads, particularly the OD squad.
On ability - Hazelwood, Cutting, Starc, Copeland.Yeah me to. Starc, Hazelwood, Copeland, Cutting, would like some people to rank them in ability.
George and Hifly will probably take the new ball.
How do you reckon Starc and Copeland compare to a fit Burt ****ley?Copeland has been exceptional thus far in his first class career, but if he gets picked in the Aussie A side after 4 first class games and 2 one dayers, it's a slap in the face to every other fast bowler in the country, regardless of how well he has done.
Will always have the question mark hanging over his head also regardig his lack of pace. We'll get a better reading on him after a full summer.
Having played against both Starc and Copeland I see Starc as the most damaging of the 2, although Copeland could end up a genuine all-rounder I reckon, he has a heap of potential with the bat..
Yeah, surely. No way he'd miss out to Haberfield.Gotta agree with Kyle (Mr Wright) here - Cutting seriously unlucky not to get a start as the leading wicket taker in the Shield. Can't help but think he might be injured.
Hmm, would have to think about that. ****ley would be the fastest bowler out of the lot of them and I'd rate him better than Starc. How do you reckon Starc and Copeland compare to a fit Burt ****ley?
Found this laughable Andre. He played five matches, for 35 wickets @ 17. Personally, I've seen enough in those five games to believe he should have been chosen. I have no qualms with him not being picked in the OD Squad, but there's no way he shouldn't be in the 4D side.Copeland has been exceptional thus far in his first class career, but if he gets picked in the Aussie A side after 4 first class games and 2 one dayers, it's a slap in the face to every other fast bowler in the country, regardless of how well he has done.
Harsh on Andre, tbh. Stripped back, he's a med-fast workhorse who nibbles the ball a bit either way and swings it when conditions suit. The games I've seen him bowl, he's bowled very, very well but he definitely needs a longer run before being considered for anything higher. Put it this way, there's nothing brilliant about him which demands higher selection.Found this laughable Andre. He played five matches, for 35 wickets @ 17. We'll always lol @ Clarke. And lol @ Clarke.
Copeland also has a weapon in getting lots of bounce, obviously because he is tall but my family spoke to him last week and he really does focus on getting bounce with his action. Said something about what he does with his left arm helps him get good bounce.Harsh on Andre, tbh. Nah, I reckon this is a good opportunity to try and develop a spinner. The result of the game means virtually nothing and obviously it's preferable to have a spinner in the Test lineup providing you have a good one, so this is a good chance to get a good look at one. I don't really agree that the spinner should've been O'Keefe but he had a better average than all the non-McGain spinners last season and he's young so it's a fair enough call I guess. How about the selection of O'Keefe anyone? Selecting a spinner purely because a spinner needs to be selected?
I'm not sure if O'Keefe truly deserves a spot, based on half a season of decent performances. I always find his bowling to be a little docile, the type of bowler who will return figures of 4/140 rather than 4/55. The most deserving spinner based on last years performance, but that is purely because the competition bowled like **** all year long.
Select another pacer, leave the 'A' team selections for those spinners who actually are class.
Sounds like a description of Hilfy.Harsh on Andre, tbh. Stripped back, he's a med-fast workhorse who nibbles the ball a bit either way and swings it when conditions suit. Put it this way, there's nothing brilliant about him which demands higher selection.
One with key difference - Copeland is gun.Sounds like a description of Hilfy.
.One with key difference - Copeland is gunbarrel straight.
:Haha if there's anything Copeland isn't, it's straight.
