Nailed it. That's part of the reason why it sucks. He's not replacing NSW wickie who still plays, but one of their Bats drafted in for Aussie limited overs.
No. No it's not. It's Win/Win for absolutely everybody.

That's a bit different as they actually decided to pack up and move states for more opportunities, lifestyle etc. It's a big comittment. McCullum's just playing a couple of games for a wad of cash and in no way represents NSW.How do you guys ever support teams with imports from other states like Klinger, Rogers, David Hussey and co.
Name me one half decent player that not going to play in IPL. Whoever they signed was going to play in the IPL.He was brought in solely for the CL where he won't play for NSW anyway if his IPL team makes it. Great logic/thinking
Well here's an idea - how about signing no-one and just sticking with the players that actually live the state?Name me one half decent player that not going to play in IPL. Whoever they signed was going to play in the IPL.
Last time I check the wag of cash is going to Otago, he is playing for free and pride. That's a bit different as they actually decided to pack up and move states for more opportunities, lifestyle etc. It's a big comittment. That would be great if half weren't playing for Australia. And most the other states are trying/have to sign overseas players as well.Well here's an idea - how about signing no-one and just sticking with the players that actually live the state?
Exactly.Lol mountain out of a molehill in this thread.
Good on NSW. He's only being bought in for the Champs league, that's it. He's not replacing NSW wickie who still plays, but one of their Bats drafted in for Aussie limited overs.

-It's a win for McCullum as he gets another shot at at the champs league should Otago/Kolkata not make it, and he gets a warm up in Aussie ahead of the ODIS.
-It's a win for NSW as they get another international quality bat for their side as backup for their players having to play for their IPL sides in the CL and not being available. Actually winning this final hardly matters at all.
-It's a win for IPL as it means NSW are more likely to field a stronger team rather thanh one that's going to get rolled due to missing their best talent.
- It's a win for Otago as they can give some gametime to Aaron Redmond in the upcoming semifinal, they already qualify for the final and Redmond will be playing in the final game due to McCullum being on international duty anyway.
- It's a win for Otago development as McCullum is donating his match fee to them.
-It's a win for average joe spectator of the Big Bash final as they get to watch an international quality 20/20 bat instead of some unknown second/third stringer
Meh, the only people who could feel aggrieved would be dyed-in-the-wool win or lose state supporters, and purist posers, but to the purists it's already just a 20/20 lark and I wouldn't mind if my local team had a good ring in if it increased their chances of winning games.
Mitchell JohnsonName me one half decent player that not going to play in IPL. Whoever they signed was going to play in the IPL.
Michael Clarke isn't going either is he?Mitchell Johnson
Good idea mate. They should allow a NZ team to compete in the big ba$h or let teams have NZ players. We need the $$ to keep funding our state comps and for developing youngsters.
Does it have a reserve day?Storm coming, has hit my house. Will be very surprised if this match is finished.
