Serena giving Jankovic a lesson in tennis here. The only woman's player that would have had a meaningful winning record over Serena I can imagine, and that looks like it may end tonight unless Jelena lifts her game.

Expected better from Jelena, but Serena seems to have been in the zone in this tournament.

Currently, its almost impossible to pick the winner of a women's non-clay tournament. Henin, Serena, Venus, Ivanovic and Jelena can win on any given day, and then Kuznetsova, Hantachova and others are also a shout. That's unlike what the men's has been for a while (though its changing now), where almost every meaningful tournament was won by Federer or Nadal.

I'm so shocked, yet so happy that Davydenko won.

Only his second ATP Masters Title, but this one actually means something. He beat a lot of top ranked players to win it.

Hopefully he actually kicks on. I never thought he could realistically win this thing, he was the biggest pretender on the ATP circuit (semi-final spot filler), but now he's actually done something significant.

Still think he's someway off consistently being in the same league as the top 3, but on current form he's battling with Roddick for the best of the rest title. Ferrer and Nalbandian could be considered with them too, but for whatever reason neither is really anywhere near the top of their games right now.

I love Marat Safin, and I know he's been absolutely dead set horrible lately, but I think I've figured out the enigma.

Let him play Davis Cup for Russia, and he will try, and he will win.

Just beat Berdych in five sets, coming back from 2 sets to 0 down.

If Federer loses to Olivier ****ing Rochus, I'll officially give up on him.

lost the first set 6-4. Better not lose the match.

FFS Federer lift.

Ferrero losing to Safin on clay, he's done. Is just making up the numbers nowadays, sad to see.

Awesome to see Safin win a first round match though :D

And Federer really should win Estoril Open. Davydenko is the only other good player in the tournament, and even with his form, Federer is better on clay.

Federer without any titles in 2008 so far, feels weird.

Good job he won too, because I had money on him to win the tourny at the start. He pays alright atm.

Nalbandian was a test to be fair, but Nadal will smash Federer. Federer isn't as good as he was last year on clay, and Nadal is still the machine he was.

Everything points to a Nadal win.

Agree but Nadal vs Federer clashes always have something about them, tournament form etc... never seems to mean much and it comes down to who performs better on the day.

Don't get me wrong, I'm hoping for an awesome match, but I just can't see Federer challenging Nadal. Hope I'm wrong though.

Will definitely tune in tonight. I just feel if Nadal is was so confident against Roger last year, he's definitely going to believe he's far better on clay this year. You can just tell that Federer's opponents nowadays don't fear him as much as they used to.

Rafa was 0-4 down in the second set, and still won it 7-5 to win in straight sets.

What's more amazing, I knew he was going to come back and at least take the second set to a tiebreak, even though he was a double break down. Turns out he didn't even need to as he won 7 of the next 8 games.

7-5 7-5 was a fair scoreline for the match in the end. Roger continues to make unforced errors on his forehand vs. Nadal on clay. He'll never beat him at the French if this continues.

Rafa's so good.

Hey ya Ferrero beats Nadal in Rome, there is fight in the old dog. Would love for Ferrero to win the French again, so gun on clay.

Thats so awesome.

With Ferrer knocked out as well, the draw has really opened up. Ferrero vs. Federer in the final will be cool.

I'm predicting a Davydenko tournament win though.

Yeah I know you don't like him but he's been playing some good tennis from the Aus Open onwards this year. Without Nadal he may just take it out.

Ferrero has to back up his win against Nadal with a match vs Wawrinka, let's hope he can do it.
