Yeah I know you don't like him but he's been playing some good tennis from the Aus Open onwards this year. Without Nadal he may just take it out.

Ferrero has to back up his win against Nadal with a match vs Wawrinka, let's hope he can do it.
Fernando Verdasco the smokey, he's pretty much Gonzalez version 2.0, would love to see him produce some great form in a major tourney.

Verdasco loses to Blake, Davydenko to Robredo and Ferrero to Wawrinka.

I think we should stop tipping winners Simon. :p

That being said, Djokovic vs. Federer final would be sweeeeeeet.

Also did anyone see Nadal's blisters on his feet vs. Ferrero? Brutal! Literally had holes in them.

Who would have thought it? Even on clay thats not a match I thought Federer would lose, so pissed off cause my multi was the other three winners and Feds, was really no point putting him in there cause he was only paying $1.06 anyway, careless betting on my behalf.

Very surprising on the surface, but taking away her age shes been a professional for ten years plus the work and hours that go into it before she turned professional probably justifies her being burnt out.

Did anyone watch the Hamburg Masters final between Federer vs. Nadal?

One of the most strange and interesting matches I've ever seen between these two, in fact, I've ever seen period.

Federer came out of the blocks and was 5-1 up, then Nadal broke back making it 5-2, then he had an injury time-out and looked like he was going to retire for precaution due to the French Open. He chooses not to, and comes back to win the set 7-5. GUN!

Second set Federer is a break down immediately, but AGAIN takes a 5-2 lead, and again gives it up! The set goes into a tie-break however and Federer wins.

Then Nadal wins the 3rd 6-3.

Federer had many opportunities, but I swear I've never seen a better fighter than Nadal. Love watching him on clay, its a privilege.

Nadal on clay = Federer kryptonite
the whole tour has been kryptonite-riddled for the fed this year, not just nadal....so much so that he doesn't really look like superman on a tennis court anymore...the biggest shock should be if he loses wimbledon to some lesser player, but at this point, i am even expecting that...

Nadal to win Wimbledon and take the reigns as world number one.

That'd be so sweet!

Federer has had his 5 on the trot, Nadal was so close last year... hopefully he takes it out this year.

I think Nadal needs to win one of the other majors simply to avoid the tag of clay court specialist. He's made two Wimbledon finals, has won numerous Masters Series events on hard court so we all know he can play on any surface but he needs a major in the record books to prove it. Wimbledon this year is his chance.

I think Rog would be happy with a swap tbh - he wins the French, Nadal Wimbledon.

Federer would then take his place among the panthenon of all timers with a career slam. IMO he's well and truly worthy of it.

Nadal at the Aus Open always chokes come 4th round or quarters. I agree, Wimbledon is his best shot.

Don't know why the French, given it's a specialist tournament (clay) like Wimbledon (grass) doesn't adjust their seeding. There is no way Federer should be seeded one, ahead of Nadal who is two. Not that it will make much difference, but you'd think they'd go that way.

Does Wimbledon adjust their seeding?

Never knew that. Yeah I always laugh when Federer is first seed, and yet all the commentators make it look like he's a major underdog vs. Nadal (rightfully so) in the final. It'd be confusing for someone who knew nothing about tennis and was explained what seeding meant to hear that.

yes they have done so every year...and since it doesn't always reflect actual atp rating numbers(they have their own tweaks to the rating based on who is expected to do better on grass), it has been controversial several times...but it's been one of their "traditions" and they have adamantly stuck to that...
