If you can believe this, his family makes him even more irritating. Just something about them....Especially his littlest brother...Grrrr...

Can see why a lot of Australian's don't like Djokovic, in a lot of ways he's very similar to Hewitt (just has more ability).

IMO in the current tennis era you can't be successful and modest, all the top players have a fair ammount of arrogance and it's just about not giving your opponent an inch. The players have to expect to win or they just wont. Look at Roddick everytime he plays Federer he know's hes gonna lose and he does...

Federer's about as arrogant as it gets, but he's got a charm about him. Djokovic doesn't have that charm, and hence, to me, and just about everybody I know (there are always exceptions) it makes him irritating. His spat in Davis Cup last year (or possibly the year before) was pretty crap, and hasn't helped his image in my eyes.

I've gone on record before saying that I don't really like Federer much and I couldn't wait until his dominance of everything ended, and so I'm quite happy to see someone rise from the ashes to challenge him. Just wish it was someone that came across to me as a likeable guy so I could get behind him.
I don't mind Federer, and also couldn't wait until his dominance ended. However, imo Novak's a ****ing champ.

I don't think he's really all that much like Hewitt, Simon. Djokovic actually has a bit of personality about it, which imo, is something that cannot be said about Hewitt.

Fair enough, but I think his will to win and be the best and not let anyone push him around kinda gives him a rough look. A lot of Aussies don't like Hewitt because he has the reputation of being a whinger and a sook, much like the reputation Novak is getting with some people, but I think it comes from having such a huge desire to be the best that they are looking for any advantage they can get...

There are no similarities between Hewitt and Djokovic other than the fact their family follows them around.

Djokovic has so much more personality and charisma its not even funny. Even when Djokovic is pumping himself up on the court its funny and he's having a laugh, whereas Hewitt is just completely intense and in the zone. And in fact I reckon Nadal has a more obvious 'intensity' and 'desire to win' than Novak, who is willing to piss around 1 hour before his match at the US Open and do impersonations, or sing in public. Can't see Hewitt or Nadal really doing that, they're far more overtly focused.

What is the point of Safin still playing, and getting knocked out in the first round of every tournament?

So **** to see him like this.

doesn't anymore, should retire...

Haas wont be far away, he admitted the other day that he will never make it back to his peak, can hardly see the point of him continuing to finish his career like a Tim Henman ranked at the bottom end of the top 100...

Serena destroys Henin and then comes back and beats Kuznetsova. Gun. Best person to put money on in big-game matches.

Roddick right now a set up on Federer, and serving like a freak! 73%+ first service.

Can Federer come back? He's paying 1.83, I gotta have a crack

maybe all these loses by Federer lately has Roddick believing he can actually beat him?! He's always had the game and ability to cause Federer problems but it's well known he's beaten before he even steps on court.

If Roddick takes the 3rd into a tie-break, I reckon he'll win. Its his best chance, that's for sure.
