Why do England struggle to produce undisputedly great players?

Indian sweets are a mixed bag. Some of the south indian stuff is horrendous but the Bengalis know what they are doing.
I've found out in the last few years that we (Bengalis) have a lot in common with the French: lazy, bad employees, analytical and mathematical bent of mind, very creative with an excellent history in poetry art and culture, know about desserts

Cakes in Asia are horrendous. Just throwing that out there.

In fact sweet stuff from Asia on the whole is pretty terrible. Easily the worst bit of my trip to Malaysia earlier in the year.
Some of the Malaysian stuff I had was just glutinous sludge. Literally, that is exactly what it was.

Loved most of the savoury food over there, but dear god.
Yeah agreed wrt South East Asian cuisine.

India has some fantastic sweets across the board.

We don't exactly like eating sweets down south. We have our own variations of kheer called "Payasam", which is drunk instead. And it usually has raisins, cashews, almonds, pistachios etc in it. Its like a chewy drink.

Also, how come anyone hasn't mentioned how awful the food in Chennai is yet? My trip there was absolutely horrid from a culinary perspective. And all other perspectives come to think of it. But most definitely from a culinary perspective.
