51 balls... and a brilliant duck it was, too.Armadillo said:I didn't really see a lot of Such so that comment was probably unfair, though I do remember seeing him make 0 from 53 balls.
Indeed it was, Geoff Allott's marathon effort being the longest.Tom Halsey said:Wasn't it the 2nd longest Test duck ever or something? And Adil, I've only had one this year.
Your arguement is still out the window...Shoaib said:I said that he is an average bowler ,not a poor one.
So,is Harbhajan Singh the best spinner of all time?He is certainly not in Murali,Warne ,Kumble,Saqlain,Laker,Mushtaq,Abdul Qadir,Benaud category. If I say that Bhajji belongs to the category of average bowlers, whats wrong in that?Prince EWS said:Your arguement is still out the window...

a. 21 - 22 is ridiculously young for a spinner to play test cricket yet he achieved admirable figures against the commonly acknowledged finest players of spin.tooextracool said:which changes the fact that he was rubbish then and was rubbish when he played against india in his only test how exactly?
really? i find it amusing how richard dawson who averages less than hauritz in FC cricket and has 5 5 wicket hauls as opposed to hauritz's 0 is worse than him.
your point is? whether or not i defend the wicket does not change the fact that hauritz should have had far better figures than 2/87 when he bowled at the top order on that pitch. and his figures on that pitch were horrible.
Hahaha...Shoaib said:So,is Harbhajan Singh the best spinner of all time?He is certainly not in Murali,Warne ,Kumble,Saqlain,Laker,Mushtaq,Abdul Qadir,Benaud category. If I say that Bhajji belongs to the category of average bowlers, whats wrong in that?

admirable figures? 2/87 in the same conditions in which clarke took 6/9? come off it. like it or not age does not change the fact that hes rubbish.social said:a. 21 - 22 is ridiculously young for a spinner to play test cricket yet he achieved admirable figures against the commonly acknowledged finest players of spin.
bowling at the gabba is definetly comparable to bowling at headingly. and i'd think hauritz has had plenty of chances to bowl outside the gabba and has failed miserably everywhere.social said:b. County cricket vs bowling spin on the Gabba. Might as well be 2 different sports..
yes after getting hammered all over the park and pretty much costing his team the game.social said:c. Agreed but he also dismissed Tendy and Laxman, 2 of the world's best players
The average is pretty mediocre for a specialist bowler in ODIs. His ER is poor for a specialist bowler.Armadillo said:Sami's one day record:
ODIs 70 3471 2856 102 5/10 5/10 28.00 4.93 34.02 3 1
That is a very impressive strike rate and average at international level.
I think there's a couple ahead of him.Shoaib said:I said that Shoaib Malik is the best all-rounder in ODIs only, not in tests.
No Test team who fails to chase just over 100 in any Test can blame its bowlers for the loss. I don't care how bad the deck is, with the exception of one which has been rained on (obviously not a factor any more). Even on the WACA in 1997 against the WI on a deck which had cracks big enough to lose shoes in, Australia still managed almost 200. The blame for the loss in India rests squarely with the batsmen.yes after getting hammered all over the park and pretty much costing his team the game.
Laughable.odds are that if you and i bowled spin on that wicket, we would have eventually dismissed tendulkar and laxman.
You've been around longer than I thought.Jamee999 said:
