What happens to Bazball if Australia wins the Ashes ?

England have won 4 series and drawn 1 series against Australia at home since 2001 by playing Test cricket normally.

Now if Australia wins the Ashes this time , will Bazball survive ? I believe there would be huge criticism of Bazball from English media.

If the pitches are roads & the ball isn't doing much I'd advise Oz to bowl to ODI fields, with slightly more attacking lines outside off looking to save a singles! If it does move/deck's green just use traditional fields with maybe one more player on the boundary?

Yes, stop the boundaries . Wickets will automatically come.

BMac gets carted off to the Tower of London and is replaced as coach by Peter Moores......Stokes retires and we appoint Zac Crawley as skipper.
Stokes might need to retire from tests anyway if his knee gets any worse.

It's difficult to say with certainty what will happen to the England Cricket Team's style of play if Australia wins the Ashes, as there are many factors that can influence a team's approach and tactics.

That being said, it's possible that a loss to Australia could lead to some changes in England's style of play. Losing to a rival team in such a high-profile tournament can be a blow to a team's confidence, and the England Cricket Team may feel pressure to adjust their approach in order to improve their chances of winning in future matches.

One potential change could be a shift towards a more aggressive and attacking style of play. If England feels that they were too passive or defensive in their approach during the Ashes, they may try to be more proactive and take more risks in their batting and bowling strategies.

If Australia couldn't win in 2019 they certainly won't in 2023.

Why? Aus has got a better side now than they did then.

Player for player they’re just a better outfit. It won’t be close. Khawaja, Whoever and Marnus **** on England’s top three. Smith is better than Root, Brook and Head will be a good battle between a couple of relative n00bs, especially given Brook has basically not faced anyone close to what Aus will dish up. Stokes is better than Green with the bat but Green is better than him with the ball.

Carey is as good as Foakes.

Cummins is better than everyone, Lyon is better than Leach and the balance of the Aus attack doesn’t need Zimmer frames to run in and bowl.

No attack bowls better on roads than Aus, and their batting is also suited to them. If they prepare seaming decks, Aus will chew up the England line up - Root and Stokes aside they don’t have the technique to cope with actual fast bowling which is doing a bit. They’ve feasted on half rat power attacks on roads. They’ll go at five an over and be routed for about 120 while they do it.

Seriously, this will not be close. It’ll be at worst 3-0 to Aus and I look forward to celebrating the inevitable triumph with a cigar and a cognac in the Connoisseur Room on the Silver Spirit somewhere along the Dalmatian Coast.

Hard to see 3-0 to anyone, there's no such thing as a draw never mind 2 draws with Bazball.
Rain. As in 1989 and 2022, it will be the only thing which stops an Aus whitewash.
Seriously, imagine Pat Cummins, Scott Boland, Mitchell Starc, Jhye Richardson, Michael Neser or Josh Hazlewood at the top of their marks, quivering as they look up and see…. Ben Duckett and Zac Crawley striding out to take guard on a green pitch with a cool English morning and cloud cover on offer.

Stick a fork in it. This is done already.

Yeah planning to invest at some stage, England currently 1.9 Australia 2.8 Drawn series 8/1.
I know it's been a while since Aus won in England but it's been a lot closer than the results suggest.

Theoretically Aus should have won 2009 and 2019

lol England at $1.90 when they got clocked 4-0 by their opponents 18 months ago and spared yet another whitewash by rain. It’s laughable. Get on Aus now, or better yet wait til we lose again to india and blow out even further.

England only drew 2019 because smith got concussed, but more importantly because the Australian side was basically on the piss for the whole time between the 4th and 5th tests.

Honestly, this is done. It’ll be a pizzling
