Won't happen. The Englishmen will be lining up to be no. 700 and also his last wicket in Tests.
Obviously it won't. I just think it would be quite endearing really, because I think its better that Bradman retired on 99.94, than 100...just adds to his legend.

I'm sure Pietersen/Warne wouldn't mind if it's Pietersen !

I personally am with silentstriker on this. It's a sad day for cricket lovers everyday, but if Mcgrath is confirmed to retire, then I think Aussie cricket will suffer much more, then just if Warne retires. Mcgrath made the pressure, and Warne capitalised.

But anyway, A sad day for cricket around the world.

Would be the greatest if he could get that century.
Agreed. If Sydney's petering out to a draw, he and McGrath had better get promoted.

Haha, that`d be so gun. A Warne cenutry.

Exciting times for Australian Cricket. Personally, I believe James is offering all these players incentives in order to get more hits on CW. :p

the greatest combination of bowlers to play for the same team, the greatest leg spinner in the history of Cricket , 2 of the True greats in Cricket History... Test Cricket will record this for eternity as such... regardless of his colourful off field stuff, Warney increased Test Cricket's popularity and revived spin bowling .

Test Cricket is all the more poorer for their loss...while it has been enriched by their involvement and contribution to the game...as James Sutherland has said, people of the current generation can proudly acclaim to future generations that they lived in the era of Warne and McGrath...True legends.

That a suicide pact?

Personally I'm not that fussed over it I mean it had to happen eventually so it was to be expected at some point. I don't know I just feel so emotional or as cut up about as some of the other people.

I personally wouldn't cry about Warne retiring because frankly there are more important things in life as sad as it is for cricket.

Pretty damn happy I've managed to get tickets to the Boxing Day test now. Hopefully I'll see Warne bowl one last time.

Same, I'm counting down the days. Tipping the 26th to be the best day of my life tbh.

It's not always a happy moment when great players like these decide to retire but maybe I'm not too sure about this but does this even out the playing field just a little bit for other teams like South Africa England West Indies and India not to mention Pakistan?
