Won't happen. The Englishmen will be lining up to be no. 700 and also his last wicket in Tests.
Why would they be lining up for?

I wouldn't take any "honour" in being no. 700, in fact I would rather knee cap the guy and risk setting off a riot then get out to him. In fact I would be fuming if I did (I mean if I were an English Test batsman).

If they did it would just be bad as seeing them all shaking Brian Lara's hand when he scored 400. Madness.

Latest I heard Mc Grath has dismissed suggestions that he is retiring or made any decisions on retiring....:)

Warne will reach his 700th wicket soon , but more importantly he will in the next 2 Tests join Murali in the 1000 wickets in International Cricket Club. (needs 8 wickets more , Currently 699 + 293 = 992 wickets)

Macgrath needs quite a lot. And before the Ashes started he mentioned his desire to get 1000 wickets in International Cricket . He has a lot of work left to get there - unless he plays all the VB + all the World Cup games .
Currently 555 + 342 = 897 wickets - needs 103 wickets more.

What exactly is wrong about accepting and acknowledging a truly brilliant performance?
Why would you be happy that it was made against your team (I don't mean you, I mean if you as if you were in English Test player on the field that day)?
