Don't know enough about cricketweb, so just done my own general list.

Most underrated batsman: Mushfiqur Rahim. He never gets any kind of mention on a global stage and even when talking about Bangladeshi players he is behind Shakib and Tamim.

As a keeper with 50+ Tests he averages 37 which is very respectable. As a specialist batsman he averages 43. If you factor in how young he debuted and only look at his batting since his mid 20s (last 12 years) he's been averaging mid 40s

Most underrated bowler: Morne Morkel. Has an incredible peer review. Nearly always in the top 2 or 3 when batsmen from his era are asked who was the most difficult bowler to face. He's a huge reason why Steyn did so well.

Most overrated batsman: Mahela Jayawardene. He might not be as overrated now, but for most of his and Sangas career he was talked up way way more. Still an awesome player, but didn't deserve to get the plaudits he did back in the day over Sanga.

Most overrated bowler: Alzarri Joseph. Just look at his stats. No idea why he still gets picked and is even somewhat considered the spearhead now.
No one rates Joseph. Probably not even the West Indian selectors

Kallis might be overrated outside cw by those who rate him in their top 5. But in cw is a different scenario (obviously there are exceptions). And who rates bert Sutcliffe?

And Jadeja is not overrated. He is the incarnation of "rating" itself.

Underrated: Jacques Kallis

Overrated: Viv Richards

ez
Not sure Viv is overrated.

There’s a bunch of people who for no valid reason think he wasn’t that good. Then there’s all the humans who acknowledge (correctly) he was a batting god, the most fearsome batsman ever to walk the field.

Bert Sutcliffe or Herbert Sutcliffe?

Bert Sutcliffe is extremely underrated. If he'd been from any other test country of his era he would've averaged 46+

Getting hit in the head by Adcock probably knocked a few runs off his average

The Viv one is probably even more true outside CW tbf.

The player most overrated here is probably someone who fares disproportionately well on "analysis by checklist." Or Ryan Harris.
Anwar maybe. He had one good tour everywhere but he really didn't play enough so his average by country table looks great.
