That last game was very poor folks. We've played exceptional 5D cricket since the 25Smash break, but we need to keep it up if we have any hope of retaing the 5D trophy. As things stand, the odds are slim, but we're not out of it yet.

With games against Black (x2), Red and Green, we can still pull off at least a second place finish. It would take some very poor cricket by Green, but it can be done.

One thing that was exposed clearly in that last game is the weakness of our batting lineup. Without Simon and Andrew around, one wonders how we will cope. Well-played by Pete to get some respectability into things, but we all (myself included) need to step up. Demeza, net practice!!

The bowling has generally been good of late, but it can be more consistent. Patrick, as all season long, needs to step up and lead. Adam Collins is doing the role asked of him well, but the likes of Halsey and Sudeep have not generally been as penetrative as we need them to be.

Let's at least finish the season respectably.

Popat = Hogg
Fuller = Hall
Harris = Unlucky

So what happens to us guys on the sidelines, how do we improve so we did into the team. Is their a 2nd XI or something like that. Also i don't still don't see why u only have two spinners in a side, cus the only thing a fast bowlers good for is to get the shine of the ball for us spinners (just a spinners don't take it too personally if ur a fast bowler). I was one myself a long time but i saw the light .

How many extra players do we have in the squad cus i read in another thread that some of the teams have 22 players, enough for a 2nd XI. Also if were not going to get a game for a while then how do improve so we can get into the team, is there training or something. So i can improve my batting and be any all rounder or something

Sorry for all these question i'm just trying to get my head around the game. Do we have training, or some other way to improve our players so they can get into the 1st Team. Also is their any chance of combined 2nd XI games for the guys that aren't playing, cus 32 guys who aren't playing each game is quite allot. You could have Blue/Green 2nd XI vs Red/Black 2nd XI. Just a thought

Next season we hope to have another team where the newer players will play, thus allowing more exposure. Regarding 2nd XIs, I don't have time to run and addition set of games currently. Perhaps someone will volanteer to do it for next season...

Training will come into play in some capacity next season. Keep an eye out. For now though, keep posting and following the team. Keep supporting and I'm fairly certain you'll play at least one game before the season is out.

In the offseason you can sign up for club cricket in other countries. That's an opportunity to further your skills.

Lame that i've never even heard of Best....then I look at his stats for test cricket and he averages almost 40 hehehehe

I picture Demeza as being a left arm version of Tait....Young, loose, eratic and very quick with a nasty temprement.

Batting wise suits too....becayse he just slogs and gets out first ball everytime having a massive swing from day dot :P

I';m trying i'm trying!
Nothing seems to be working for me to take wickets.....the ball either drops short of slips off an awkward ball, or flies over slips for 4...... then the ******* umpires have been turning my appeals down, then there are the catches going down.

The test dummy has been hit in the head 4 times already last training session....i';m working real hard to try and get me another nice bag of victims.


(side note : Liam, when you sim blue's bowling, do you bowl Demeza on 100% aggression -every- time possbile? I'd appreciate that )
