I have him 6th but most people would probably put him at above both Hutton and Lara

Behind Hutton and especially Lara is a downgrading for Viv.

Hutton has a perfect record, ATG in WI and Aus, fairly well in South Africa and his home conditions is insane given conditions.

Don is obviously better. Hobbs is from a time period that I don’t usually consider him in any argument.
So Top 5 with Sachin, Sobers, Hutton & Lara is fair.
I would place Lara behind him.
Not sure about Hutton vs Richards.
I place Sachin & Sobers ahead of Viv.

I am not comfortable ranking any 1900s cricketer ahead of modern day great like Sachin or Smith but hey that’s just my opinion
