Cant be bothered going through every post here and responding but the idea that intent is completely irrelevant is horseshit. No one's saying lack of intent makes it ok, which is the strawman everyone seems to be going for.

Nah it's a good thread IMO. No one was trolled either, sledger just provided a platform. It's not like anyone was tricked into thinking it was mean to be something it's not.

The part I find most annoying is the apology. Why is it so hard to say 'sorry, my bad'?

Ok but would it be as bad if you slipped and accidentally bowled her a short ball when you just wanted to give her a nice half volley, than if you deliberately ran up and bowled her a bouncer because you wanted to knock her out? Pretty sure the latter is worse

He did not accidently slip. He knew what he was saying? He just didn't think about the implicantions. As for my sister, regardless of how the ball got there, the outcome was a black eye. The comment is racist. As Burgey, rightfully pointed out, time will tell whether Safraz is.
