Lockyer won't get dropped, and will probably come back and play well in the remainder of the series, but if you are picking on form he wouldn't even come close to making the AUS side.

That NZ 'A' result is somewhat more surprising than NZ beating Aus when you consider who was lining up for the Australian Invitational side.
Who is Jeremy Smith? apparently he was brilliant last night..24 year old from Parramatta..never heard of the guy but he might be heading to England with Hohaia looking doubtful.
I reckon they should be taking Luke Covell aswell because we need a decent goal-kicker.

Covell should never get a game for NZ. I don't think we need to pick people on goal kicking ability. Look at last night, Johns and Fitzgibbon are rated much better kickers than Stacy Jones yet Jones kicked 7/7 and the aussies kicked 2/6 between them.
Jones has hinted that he might stay on and tour Britan so it might become a non issue.

Wouldn't he be included as a backup now Hohaia is injured, who else is a goal kicker in the sqaud Brent Webb ??

Covell isn't a bad player, I mean Brent Webb's more Australian than him because at least Covell's father is a New Zealander.
Jones has improved his goal-kicking alot..but he can be un-reliable at times, and at this stage I think its unlikely he'll tour considering his wife is due to give birth and he has to go to France to meet his new club.
