Ranking the Batsmen

International Coach
Hobbs takes it over Tendulkar. Good to see more votes coming in the past couple days.

The List
1. Don Bradman
2. Garry Sobers
3. Jack Hobbs

The vote for the #4 batsman of all-time begins now.

The Contenders

For me it was a choice between Lara, Tendulkar and Viv Richards. I'm going to go with Lara. All three have similar averages and played against quality bowlers for the majority of their careers. Lara's ability to score massive totals (8 double hundreds - including 3 against Australia) got him over the line for me.

Very true, but Sachin's consistency wins out against Lara's ability to score massive hundreds: Tendulkar. And he scores more hundreds too, though not as many doubles.

tbf, Tendaulkar's scored a whole whooping 2 more centuries than Lara. Not really a valid point to separate them on for mine.

Sachin has had atleast a decent performance more than Lara...thats what he meant...sure Sachin got 2 more 100s, but Lara has gotten out on a lower score more often.
