Thank you FICA, ICC, the players, the fans, every one.
Seeing as this match was broadcast in 122 countries, I see no reason why the 2nd match won't be shown in Australia, with or without such laws.James90 said:Anti-syphoning laws say that any one-day series which a game is played in Australia, the full series must be shown. So I presume we'll see the second game on free TV, unless they find another loophole like the ashes
After watching tonights game, I was extremely glad it was given ODI status. If it hadn't then we would have seen what we saw & I doubt the World XI would have put on over 300.Richard said:Maybe the most star-studded, but the most competetive? We'll not know until it's played.
My definition of worthy ODI is involving two teams capable of competing with the rest - if any team is substantially below the rest I'd not want it called an ODI, ideally - of course this isn't realistic.
The real definition of ODI status, of course, is between two teams with ODI status (of which there are 11 and no more - unless you get two invented as here).
One hundred and twenty-two?! That's basically everything outside Europe and South America...Adamc said:Seeing as this match was broadcast in 122 countries, I see no reason why the 2nd match won't be shown in Australia, with or without such laws.
I assume that figure means that it was available to 122 countries through satellite TV etc., not that it was broadcast free-to-air as it is in Australia. As for the price on Warne's shirt, I am almost certain that it is not a genuine bid. I can only think of a few people in Australia who would have that much disposable income, and most of their names end in Packer.Samuel_Vimes said:One hundred and twenty-two?!
