well Ian Bell "pretty 50" has 46 50's and 22 100's so at least converted about 1/3 at an average of 42 so Pope is still quite a way away to be in that discussion ...

Ehh, balls have been ****e but the batches haven't all been the same degree of bad. The first summer mccullum came in they used a weird one that moved around corners like the 2019 batch for 10 overs then did absolutely nothing afterwards. The batch during the ashes following that where way worse.

We found him very frustrating back in the day. Pope hasn’t had Bell’s high points it’s true.
