Madness isn't it. Even more stupid given we are 1-0 down and it is Andersons home ground. Ed Smith/the medics have a lot to answer for.
I could get it if he’d had a big FC workload and had a niggle, but there’s been nothing said to that effect. And it’s not like he’s a young bloke they’re nursing through stress fracture issues. Seems very odd to me

nah he was made to look pretty uncomfortable a few times against the short stuff last Ashes, but to his credit worked through it and made runs
Who can forget the ~20 times he played and missed when he get that century

I've just seen successive adverts on Sky for life insurance and cheap funerals.
Says something about who they think are their target audience for test cricket. I remember the C4 showed them, we had adverts for retired folks' cruises and, less comfortably, treatment for piles.

I read somewhere that Anderson was stiff after 40 overs in the first Test... he's not played conescutive Tests for yonks and the last time he did he broke down in SA IIRC.

This is everywhere on every channel all day. It's usually Over 50 Plans. They raise the retirement age because people are living longer but everyone over 50 needs reminding regularly that one day they're going to die.

As Archer went back to his flat between Tests, they are worried he might have Covid...but as he already joined back up with the squad aren't they all already at risk...surely they've all been training together last couple of days?

Possibly. Protocol dictates he reisolates himself though. If he does test for covid then everybody he came into contact must isolate and test.

Ebony Radford-Brent is the most overwhelmingly english lady’s name I think I’ve ever heard.

If Anderson is stiff I can understand the cotton wool being wrapped around him, it would probably be preferable if he’d had a heavy first-class workload rather than only one Test under his belt, the body won’t have the necessary hard work in it and be conditioned for back to back cricket. However, he’s feeling stiff without having much cricket behind him it does seem injury prevention is a sensible move here providing they genuinely think he’s an injury risk.
