Lara's Test Record in India involves an average of 33 (Mind you, he hasn't played test cricket there since 1994 so its a misleading figure).
His ODI stats aren't much better, with low to mid 30 averages in both those aspects.
Fact is, for some reason or another, Lara rarely gets on top of India. And you can hardly say its because of India's great fast bowlers.

Lara's last 4 tests vs. Pakistan involve centuries. That's crazy.
Granted that first test Pakistan played vs. WI involved one horrid attack (ordinary team all-round actually) but to consistently score century after century against a specific team is amazing. Wonder whether he can do it in the 3rd test as well.

Decent stuff from the Paks, pitch seems to be an absolute road now and it will be a big ask for the West Indies to force a result from here. Yousuf on course for another century and Sir Viv’s record of most runs scored in a calendar year could be in trouble with a test still to come.

Watched the highlights. A few comments.
1) Lara's a frickin' genius.
2) Kaneria didn't bowl that badly to be honest, Lara just owned him. Poor Danish, didn't know what to do.
3) Does Kaneria know that you can't get an LBW when the ball pitches outside leg? He kept appealing, and even Ian Bishop was telling Kaneria to learn the rules.
4) How weird is Gul when he dives and saves balls on the boundary. Uses his legs, but does it well.
5) Bravo batted beautifully as well. Perfect foil for Lara's aggression.
