***Official*** West Indies in New Zealand

Im not sure what the deal with Trott is. Bracewell might have just been making a passing comment, or he's actually spoken to Trott and he's suggested NZ could be an option. How he qualifies for NZ im not sure...his parents live in Rotorua but by the sound of it, Trott could qualify immediately for NZ because they believe he is an option for the World Cup.

If he did play for NZ it would be a huge bonus for us because he's been the outstanding all-rounder so far in domestic cricket. I have a feeling though that he has his heart set on England, so good luck to him.

He would have more of a chance getting in to NZ than England so that could be interesting.

Whoops, I read the year of the WC wrong...Bracewell said 2011 World Cup. So yes, he would have to live here for 3 years.

LOL @ the guy's name also being Imran Khan. For a second, only a second, I thought it was the great man and thought those were some weird comments.

If I were one of the players, i'd be telling to shut his mouth because he's not the one having to play the cricket.

"They milk runs like a maiden wallowing in boredom rather than bludgeon them like a raging sailor on land for the first time in a year."

The two worst similes of all time?

To be honest Trott would need a guarantee of some form of International contract to give up playing county cricket.

Also find it amazing that he's become an all-rounder in NZ!

Hah, that article is crazy.

West Indies media manager Imran Khan has compared the Black Caps to women and described their batting style as "boredom".
I'd describe the West Indian Batting as 'failing'.

"Their batsmen are not glamorous strokemakers - but rather typically painstaking grafters," Khan wrote.
Yes, you score over 650 runs in 2 ODI's by grafting.

Haha what stupid things to say. He obviously didn't watch the Chappel/Hadlee Series. Is he describing his own West Indies team? Good on Lou Vincent he responded well this whole article is a good joke :)

Everyone's a potential all-rounder here. We're obsessed over the notiion of finding them, and we're also obsessed with trying to make players into them.

Everyone in the New Zealand squad can bat apart from a couple people like Chris Martin and possibly Shane Bond even though he can bat a bit. You could even place Kyle Mills or James Franklin in Cairnsys position.

In my opinion I would not have James Franklin in the NZ one day side. His bowling is way too expensive and if they are going to select him for the world cup squad I'm afraid to say they have no hope in hell of winning the world cup.

Well he holds a british passport so he's heavily linked to england at the moment, and if england sense that the kiwis are seriously sniffing round him, england will just pick him for an A-team tour, play him in a couple of games and that will be the end of that.

Even if he doesn't play?
