Classic Vincent, Century one game, 1 the next. He can't be a first team regular until he finds some kind of consistancy.

He said it himself after the last game. He said something along the lines of 'I need to pick up my consistancy'
Vincent has averaged 40 in the past 20 ODIs or something which is pretty good by NZ standards.

Will Scarlet, you say Styris has hardly bowled since the English series, did you not see him bowling rather well against the Australians only a year ago?

Take out the 170 he made against Zimbabwe and his average drops into the 20's I think.

New Zealand may really miss Vettori on this Eden Park track, particularly if we only get 240ish. Would have been a perfect pitch for Vettori and his subtle variations

West Indies in with a royal chance here with NZ dismissed for 233. Particularly with no Vettori. Edwards was superb again. He could be a real threat in the test matches. Styris, Patel and Astle to play a key role in the middle overs on this slow pitch, and hopefully Bondy can pick up a couple early on. I have a feeling that Mills will bowl well on this pitch to. At least we definately have a match. Hopefully a close one, but hopefully 5-0 to NZ

I'm not sure I've ever watched a Test in coloured clothing with a white ball.

561 @ 33

He's been better since he came back into the OD side, though.

2001 - 2003 = 62 matches 1133 @ 21.78 with 4 fifties.

2005 - Current = 20 matches 733 runs @ 40.72 with 2 centuries and 3 fifties.

The Windies have been pathetic, but credit must be given to Mills and Bond for superb opening spells

No **** shirlock :| maybe ill spell it out to you less than clever kids. What I ment was "Even the most boring Test match that I would have watched would be more exciting than this ODI"

Is that better?

Damn as you can see in my avatar and sig. Well pleyed WI. A very boring game though. Franklin always was crap and always will be we should just use Mason.

Good win for WestIndies i must say, it would give them some confidence going into the test series.. all i can say is that it was not a clean sweep..

It was good to see the Windies win & the players celebrating.

There's been too much criticism of the NZ selectors in this series. IMO, they're doing the best job they've done in years, and in terms of adding depth to the squad, took advantage of the supersub experiment better than any other side.

Yeah, but at least Franklin's hot.

Good win for the Windies, but the game was a bit boring.

It was, because they have lost so many in the past. Plus with the commentator mentioning that this is the first time in years they've won here (or is it everywhere?) against us made me remember the last time they were here and we whitewashed them. I remember actually feeling sorry for them back in '99/'00.

Good win by the WIndies there :) I may be the only one to think it, but it makes the tests seem more interesting now.

Franklin - another test only bowler?
