Back in the day, the universal Chanderpaul impression was:

"Yea. D peetch was good. I feel good today. D peetch was good. Get some runs today. Yea. D peetch was good."

Coney reckons the pitch looks like something you would see in Madras or Multan! lol. There's a bit of a concern that batting second on this pitch will be difficult so NZ might have an advantage batting first.

Yeah a bit strange.

Interesting that NZ are also using Australia's fielding coach Mike Young according to Chris Cairns.

Wonderful. We've got radio coverage of the series but they're showing some stupid movie on the channel that should be showing the cricket. Didn't take a good look at it, but I suspect it's Battlefield Earth. Bunch of idiots running the media...

Or maybe the West Indian bowling has improved?
Possibly. Fulton's dismissal wasn't good bowling, it was his fault. Franklin also got a bit too ambitious for his own ability.

The dismissal of Brendan Mccullum was a good ball though.

He is going on about him a bit, but those 2 yorkers were pretty terrific.

Reports seem to suggest that he's bowled some lovely yorkers at the death.

Those dismissals happen in OD cricket when there's pressure applied. The pressure would be from improved bowling.

But batsmen are to blame for getting themselves out to bowling. No ball is deserving of a wicket. And as for first-chance averages...[/richard]

He should still get credit for those 10 balls though, especially given the time of the innings that he produced them.

True, but the deliveries themselves weren't brilliant. The dismissal of Astle immediately changed the pace of the innings which leads me to believe it was more poor batting than good bowling.

Those 3 nicks from Styris were funny as hell. Great yorker in response though.
