That's a shame. He was on an Afridi pace there.

Code:
Highest strike rates in an innings
Player Runs	Balls	4s	6s	SR Team	Opposition	Ground	Match Date
JEC Franklin	31*	8	2	3	387.50 New Zealand	v Canada	Mumbai	13 Mar 2011
NL McCullum	32*	9	3	3	355.55 New Zealand	v Sri Lanka	Hambantota	12 Nov 2013
BB McCullum	27*	8	3	2	337.50 New Zealand	v West Indies	Queenstown	1 Jan 2014
And that didn't last for long.

This is a bit nostalgic. McCullum and Ryder batting together at the start of the innings and carving up.
Reminds me of Ryder's debut series vs Eng in 2008. McCullum and Ryder opening, McCullum 261 runs @ 65 with SR 128, Ryder 196 runs @ 49 with SR 91.

Guptill was almost in test mode there to begin with. He played the first few balls quite well by getting the bat inside the line (they were ****ing good) but then it looked like he thought "oh ****, it's limited overs, need a boundary" and had a go at a smidgeon of width that he would have otherwise left.
I get the horrible feeling someone in the brains-trust told Guptill that it's okay to take it easy and get his eye-in in the first over or two. Well in T20, it's not.

Got very lucky that none of the camera's picked up the moment when the ball passed the bat.

Haha, surely that was out and just a case of hot-spot not registering :p I can't think what else that noise was

Can't actually recall Taylor playing a good T20 innings for a long time either domestically or internationally.

Make it today !

Blip on snicko was so small. Normally even a fine edge is about 4 x bigger. Perhaps someone's messed up the scaling on the snicko graph?

Lol, Mark Richardson was right about just how hard it is to restrict Ryder. Has so many scoring options and angles the ball into gaps beautifully.
