I am very impressed with Samuels. He's shown fantastic determination in comparison to the gutless efforts of most of his peers.

Shiv aside. He's looked BY FAR the best Windies batsman. They were talking about him at lunch on sky and seem to have suggested that he's realised he's running out of time to make it in tests and has started to get his head down. He's always been talented but hopefully he's finally worked out the "hard work" part.

Did the right thing with the IPL as well. Played the early games but made sure he was available for the tests.

Let's all hope so because WI desperately need it. I am also hoping Bairstow proves himself as a good player, but he'll have to be ready to sway, duck or hook in order to prove that. He'll definitely cop a peppering in his next few innings.
