Remember when Murali took potshots at all our bowlers implying they all chuck? No doubt Warne wins personality wise over Murali

Except that Murali was correct by the same standard that was used against him.
Factually proven.

If everybody chucks why'd he pick Aus bowlers, esp Mcgrath who'd never said anything about him? Out of spite, revenge - not exactly posterboy behaviour. Where'd he get those figures from anyway and have they been verified?

1. Don't know- ask him why he picked OZ bowlers- maybe the vilification he received in OZ media is a reason- pointing out to them that their own 'heroes' arnt any different from him

2. Figures can be obtained from UWA if you know the right people. I am pretty sure that if i can, so can he. Also, as far as i am aware, many of the bowlers are aware of the flexion data on other bowlers, as long as they've been either tested by UWA or ICC sanctioned folks - UWA does catalouge the data.

It was a smear on their careers without direct provocation. It was a pretty low act . Point is the guy is no angel either.

I would suggest with the greatest respect that, as far as Australians are concerned, Murali is FAR more sinned-against than sinner with respect to the use of the gob.

Saying that, I don't condone him pointing fingers at others (apart from a certain Australian umpire. That's fair game).

he's still an insecure, immature idiot who feels he has to take potshots at other bowlers.
Erm not really, he was stating facts. He wasn't saying other bowlers weren't as good as him or whatnot, he was saying others (and quite obviously Murali) play Zimbabwe and Bangladesh a lot more than he does.

'chuck' maybe a hard word for you. how about flexing the elbow, huh?
It's fact that not everyone chucked under the old regulations. Most did. I think it was Sarwan who doesn't flex his elbow at all.

Actually, no.
For the last time, read your rules- if Murali chucks, everyone chucks. If he isnt a chucker, most others arnt chuckers either.
Its a very simple logic. Sarwan is largely academic, as he is not a fulltime bowler and the only one found not to contravene the laws.

Merry Christmas Mr Halsey - although we may disagree on this issue I do admire your persistence and loyalty.

I don't see what's anti-Murali about my view to be honest. I've got no problem with the fact that the old rules were wrong - but it was also said that not 100% everyone chucked, only 99%, there was still the odd bowler who was OK.

And Merry Christmas to you too. :)

Sorry, should have made myself more clear - I was refering to our contrasting views on the Murali vs Warne debate rather than the throwing issues.

However, Christmas eve is not the time for arguments and I hope Santa brings lots of great presents for you. :newyear:

Again...no. This 'everyone chucks' thing is a myth. Every player wasn't at the tournament in question so you can't draw the conclusion you've come to from that. When you say 'flexing the elbow' are we talking about hyper-extension or a bend inwards towards the shoulder and back?
