What money on an attack of Hoggard, Harmison, Anderson, White and Dawson? [/B]
I wouldn't mind Anderson at all, he's been impressive, but Caddick has been useless until this match...

So you'll leave him out of the World Cup then?

No chance, he is the future of our attack, and should be back in for the 4th / 5th Test and rest of the VB.

Well the great Future Kid haven't been doing wonders in this series.I think he should continue to be sidelined atleast in this series!

Will you give it a rest. So you can't get highlights - big deal. A lot of people don't get to see ANY cricket whatsoever.

Oh, and from the horse's mouth (my uncle at the WACA yesterday) Anderson looks sharp.

Why, he needs persevering with, especially following the 2 weeks off he's had with that game at the Academy - picking up wickets whilst bowling tightly is great news for England, and I have no doubt he'll be in come Thursday.

Looks like SL are out of their depth and it will be an Eng-Aus final with predictable results. I must admit, I expected a better performance from the Lankans.

Lanka without Muralitharan are even worse than what India once used 2 be without Sachin . I'm not trying to degrade the lankan's , for they have some highly talented cricketers, but the fact is that if Murali is not available then Lankan team appears to be of club standard!

I don't think Murali's absence is the problem. They've bowled okay but their batting isn't performing yet the lineup looks so strong. I think it boils down to a lack of confidence coming out of SA. They need a couple of consecutive wins.

But where are they going to come from? They haven't even come close to competing with England, and there's teams better than us around...

Lehman seizes the opportunity to show his true abilities with the bat - opening the innings with his maiden ODI ton in Australia. An innings full of power, finesse & entertainment scored at a run a ball. So much did he dominate the partnership with Hayden, that Hayden's half century at a run rate over 95% seemed pedestrian by comparrison!!!!

The Aussies quickly established a run rate of 6 & over, but were disappointingly unable to take it further. They finally managed to reach the 300 mark in the final over when a score in excess of 340 looked possible - a lack of boundaries in the last 10 or so overs restricting the score.

Good bowling by Nissanka & Fernando for Sri Lanka.

In response the Sri Lankan batsmen have been unable to compete with the pace & bounce from the wicket. Lee has been bowling very quickly, and at 156.2 km/h has recorded the fastest delivery recorded in Australia!!!!!

Great comeback by Watson and it was very nice to see Brett Lee back to his best. I hope Ponting doesn't make him to cut down his pace again.

They are conceding scores in excess of 300 and you think the bowling isn't a problem??? SL basically relies just on one man to restrict the opponents, and that man is Murali, not only is he economical but he also takes wickets.
The batting is down at the moment too, seems to me that the team is totally out of sorts!

They've not conceded 300+ every time out. Most times they keep the opposition to 250 or there-about. In any case, the batting lineup of Sri Lanka should be able to chase 300 but they are struggling to get to 200!

Whether they are conceding 250+ or 300+ , they are still conceding much more than would have been doing had their champion spinner been in the team.

And SL batters aren't known 2 be chasing 300 on Aussies pitches, though i do agree that they are off color at the moment!
