11 overs to go and SA need more than 10 per over with only four wickets left. The best and most economic bowlers in the side, Vaaas and Murali have eight overs between them. This is really comfortable.

I look at the score card and find the reason. Both Dilhara Fernando and Zoysa are not playing for Sri Lanka :)

Good stuff from Sangakkara there. Looks like picking him over Boucher and Gilly in my fantasy cricket team worked out :)
Sangakkara scores 88 and out
Boucher has two 60 not outs

Boucher > Sangakkara
For the fantasy team anyway.

Yeah well... I needed some Sri Lankans in my team.

I wish NZ were playing South Africa again right now. We could recover some pride from late last year.

Bandara looked very tidy today. Impressive performance by Lanka, maybe they can give Australia a game now?

So much for a two horse race. I think Sri Lanka lead now with a bonus point (or at least equal with Australia).

i think SL next game is against aus at the SCG, good chance to win 2 games in a row (cant remember when this last happened) hopefully can bat 1st and use teh spinners to steal a win.

I agree with a lot of Prince EWS, however for one reason or another I think SL are going to provide a few surprise wins this tour. They won't make the finals, but I think they'll play similar to how the WI played last year. Some games they'll look like they have no chance, other games they'll be very competitive and even sneak a win or two. That's my prediction anyway. I think they'll just miss out on the finals.
Yay looking so good so far. :D

Exactly! So much for a two horse race indeed.

Without blowing my own horn too much, I was fairly confident Sri Lanka would be competitive and win some matches in this series. More so than many SL fans anyway :p I was also very confident that SL would be very competitive, if not win, when I saw South Africa's bowling line-up still fairly weak in game 3. Yes they beat Australia with that same line-up, but it still wasn't strong enough to consistently trouble a good batting line-up on a good batting wicket. Even if there was extra bounce in it.

I'm just very annoyed at myself that I didn't put some money on Sri Lanka. I knew their odds would be very large after SA beat Australia, and for some reason I had a feeling SL would win. SL odds were $3 in the end, but I didn't make a bet. :( It was bitter-sweet when Sri Lanka were cruising at the half-way stage with just 1 wicket down, but when SA started to tie themselves up I was feeling a little relieved since 280 would have been chaseable, even without Kallis. SL went on to win it comfortably in the end which is good for the series, annoying for my habit of gambling. :p

What a horrible performance after the other night, oh well..

Kallis could be going home with his shoulder complaint, what a joke, now I know how England fans felt during the last ashes series's in Oz..

Oh Steve Randell. The guy who wouldn't give any one out lbw from either team in a test match I remember.

Come one I could do with a joke or two about the girl beater. :D

Smith looks like he has caught Atapattu's disease . * winning toss and putting opposition in on a good batting track :) *

Don't forget this is a very depleted SA Team. With more than half the regulars injured . (more affected in their bowling stocks ) .

But with some of them recovering -they will definitely bounce back.

Kallis injury must be a big worry , though .
