replay called for
which is inconclusive, Gilchrist gets the benefit of the doubt.

Only going on cricinfo, how far out was he.

Terrible decision. He had to be blind not to see the stump move when the bat was short. If the stump moves the bails have been broken.
A shocker.

Clarke gone... so Australia should be two down now.

I may be wrong but dosent the bails have to be broken regardless of what the stump does. I have seen the ball hit the stumps and rattle the bails but because they didnt fall the batsman was not out. Was there a frame where it showed the bails off and Gilly out of his ground.

i'm going to open up a bee's nest here, but i reckon pakistan have more of chance of winnign WITHOUT shoaib, than with shoaib.

if shoaib was in aus, and going to be playing today, he would be saying how he's going to get ponting martyn clarke gilly all out for nothing, and he's going to single handeldly win this game etc etc etc etc. blah blah blah blah

when the game starts he'll end up with 5-0-45-0

he is all talk and no action........he will give up easily, and doesn't perform in finals
What rubbish, records shows that Akhtar destroyed Australia in Australia in the final match of oneday series played in 2002-2003!!!

I don't remember pakistan playing many finals with Aus, mainly coz Pak doesn't qualify for the finals most of the time, but if they happen to have lost few of the finals then who CAN ONE HOLD ONE INDIVIDUAL responsible for it?

possible concerns about both
the direction and the height, hawkeye shows it hitting the top of
leg stump

Nothing there to complain about I suppose.

Ponting was clearly out... the umpires are really spoiling things for Pakistan

It should be 42-3.
9.6 Iftikhar Anjum to Ponting, legbye: three runs, fullish delivery,
takes Ponting low in the pads, big shout for lbw is turned down,
runs away through third man

Its you who is spoiling things duncan, watch the cricket and try to forget about trying to blame the umpires for every decision that you dont like.

you are being like a spoilt little kid with a mother that dosent care.

One has to give credit to Rana, not for playing well, but for staying in Australia and playing the final when his dad has just expired. Brave man.

He has played very well, and I hope he has a final series to remember.

I feel he should have gone back to Pakistan. Who cares about a game even when it is for your country when your father has just died???

I never rated Rana highly nor do i do now, but i can say now that maybe superstar Shoaib Akhtar (million times more talented than Rana) can learn something from Rana.

No one can say whether staying or going is the right decision other than Rana.
He cant changed whats happened. This is his livelyhood not just a game.

I think his mother asked him to stay and play.

Shoaib Akhtar is a complete tool, all talk no action. He has picked up a few wickets in his few matches but got smashed all over the place besides that. And Australia Suck, like I said before in a previous post they will lose today and lose the next match and Pakistan will win the series.
